There's no corporation behind the counter.
There's me — Pippo.
For over 30 years I have been searching for the genuine article for my customers in Munich: truffles that still smell of the earth, and wines that tell the story of their origin. No middlemen, no mass produce. Only what I can hand across the counter with a clear conscience.
My name is Giuseppe Trovato — but everyone just calls me „Pippo". I am a true-born Sicilian, and since 1992 I have been bringing a piece of Italy to the west of Munich. It all began with one simple conviction: good food does not need a detour. It needs someone who knows the people behind it.
My truffles come directly from my own truffle foragers — not from a wholesale market. When the dogs make a find, the truffle is in my display case within a few days. That fresh you will not find them anywhere else. I buy my wines in personal conversation with the winemakers, without middlemen, directly from the estate. Many of them are available in all of Germany only from me.
I don't sell anything I haven't tasted and approved myself. That's old-fashioned, I know. But that is precisely why people have been coming to me for three decades — some of them already in the second generation.
If you would like to buy or sell truffles in larger quantities, it's best to call me directly — in German, Italian or Turkish. Enquiries by email I also answer in English. With me you always speak to the owner.
Three things I never compromise on.
Origin
I know the truffle foragers and the winemakers personally. Everything I carry has a name and a place — no anonymous supply chain.
Freshness
Truffles are perishable treasures. With me they reach the display case within a few days of being found — right on season.
Advice
You speak to me, not to a sales assistant. I will tell you honestly which truffle or wine suits your occasion best.
Come and visit — or give me a call.
The quickest way to find out what's fresh right now is a personal conversation. I look forward to meeting you.
